• Mind Expander This model is a case study. We first shaped this board back in 2018 along with the Omega and Profish, 1 of 3 models we offered that helped build the Brother Brand. What we learned is that everyone that has gotten one has had their mind blown! What we also found as time progressed is that this model isn't or shouldn't be the first mid length you ever ride. Meaning most surfers that come to us looking for a tried and true classic mid length should probably try the Brody Egg or Magic Matt first then step on the this. We actually took it off the website for a few years just to create a better on ramp for first time mid length buyers to get the right mid length underfoot before they go down the radical Mind Expander road. Now that time has passed, our brand has grown, people are more educated on what a mid lengths is and what to order, we thought its time to bring it back. Key Features: Wide point back from center. This is a common thing with modern day shortboards, but to do it on a mid adds some spice. The wide point is between your feet and anything extra is taken away for absolute freedom in the carve and cutback department.  The bottom is super radical, roll in the nose into a tri-plane concave bottom (not a hull), into a double-v out the tail. The Tri plane tucks up the rails for more sensitive engaged rail to rail transitions. The Single Concave into double -v fits the performance outline just enhances the characteristics of the board. Modern day high performance mid length. Fast and Furious. Stock Sizes:   6’6 x 21” x 2 11/16”  42L  6’8 x 21” x 2 3/4”  44L  6’10 x 21” x 2 3/4”  46L 7’0 x 21 1/16” x 2 13/16”  48L 7’2 x 21 1/16” x 2 7/8”  50L  7’4 x 21 1/8” x 2 7/8”  52L 7’6 x 21 1/8” x 2 15/16”  54L  7’8 x 21 3/16” x 3”  56L Fin Setup: 2+1 / Pure Single Single + Side bites: go same inches or 1/2” smaller than length of board in inches.  (Weight / Skill Depending) Ex. 7’0 M.E pairs with a 7”- 6.5” center fin / 3 1/4” – 3 1/2” side fins. Pure single: go same inches or 1” more of fin as length of board. (Weight / Skill Depending)  Ex. 7’0 M.E pairs with a 7”-8” Fin (Weight / Skill Depending) means lighter weighted rider or more skilled rider go with the lower end of fin depth. Heavier weight or less skilled go on the upper end of fin depth.  Less fin = Loose/Easy to turn.  More fin = More Drive / Hold Whos this for?  Intermediate - Pro     Wave Size? 2 ft – 5 feet, Tight Pockets / Clean walls / Barrels.  Any wave that short boarders are out, the Mind Expander will play. Hows this compared to other models in same category? This board will be more in the upper end range in terms of wave height and performance of all the mid lengths we offer. Tons of performance characteristics that will keep you coming back for more. It's exciting to ride, never dull or boring. I think this board will be perfect for average to above average surfers that maybe have had other mid lengths in the past and want something new and exciting. Something to blow their mind with what a mid length can really do.
  • Passport "Heroes get remembered but legends never die." Local Legend Todd Drotleff is that guy. Todd, probably has been more around the world than anyone I know. When you travel as much as Todd, you need a board that has a huge range of versatility. That is where the Passport comes in. Todd rode his magic 6'6 at Puerto Escondido, Maldives, West Oz, and the list goes on. What he needed was a board that has a mid length ease and flow, semi gun paddle strength, with familiar shortboard outline and performance characteristics.  The board has to out paddle anything, but be nibble and hold in everything. It also needed to be able to grovel in junk if he was skunked. All that being said, the passport checked all the boxes and lasted the test of time. Key Features: Pretty mellow rocker with a super clean high performance shortboard outline. The outline might look too aggressive for some people but don't worry because the flat rocker counteracts the aggressive outline. They play off each other. Low entry rocker with flip, Medium Exit rocker. Huge sweet spot in the middle for tons glide and so the board will feel natural to all stances and foot preferences (back footed surfers/ front footed surfers).  Additional Foam under chest for semi gun/ mid length paddle power. Medium soft rails with tuck that won't catch and a thin tail foil for sensitivity, quick direction change and hold. Can be ridden as a thruster, quad, or twin + stabilizer in small surf. In Todd's words, "The front half of the board helps you catch the wave, (Length x Volume) the back half helps you do anything you want to. The tail being super thin and sensitive makes it truly versatile in all conditions." Stock Sizes: 6’0 x 20 5/16” x 2 11/16”   35.5L (Todds Shortboard Dims) 6’2 x 20 3/8” x 2 3/4”  37.7L 6’4 x 20 7/16” x 2 13/16”  39.8L 6’6 x 20 1/2” x 2 7/8” 42L (Todds Magic Mid Dims) 6’8 x 20 9/16” x 3”  44.5 L 6’10 x 20 5/8” x 3 1/16” 46.8 L 7’0 x 20 11/16” x 3 1/8”  49.3L Whos this for? All Skill Levels, Preferably those that come from riding shortboards.      Wave Size? 2 ft – 10 ft (East Coast), One of the most versatile designs we have made to date. Hows this compared to other models in same category? The Passport is a designed paddle power, glide, early entry mid length with shortboard/semi gun characteristics. It sits above our OG Bowie Knife in terms of versatility and wave range/size. Its has grovel ability, it has stepup ability. A great weekend warrior working person board. A great board for aging surfers that want extra paddle power in a one board quiver. This is a great addition to the Brother lineup of models simply based on versatility. Knowing you are covered no matter what the ocean offering.
  • Magic Matt Egg The Magic Matt, The backstory comes from our buddy Matt Landon who has ordered big eggs, short eggs, thin eggs, carbon eggs, triple stringer eggs, and of all the eggs over all the years he just came back to this hand shape 7'2 yellow magic egg. What makes it magic is the board is incredibly balanced. The Magic Matt fits perfectly in the Brother Egg lineup. It is an in between'er egg, that is more performance feeling than the OG Brody Egg but not as shortboard feeling as the Brody HP. It's an egg for those that want to do more on the wave, but still want to keep the flow. Long story short, if Matt who is the ultimate egg surfer says it's his favorite egg, then we should make it a model and start offering it to everyone so that's what we did. Key Features:  Clean balanced outline and foil. Nothing too extreme, the overall rocker is more than the OG Brody but less than the Brody HP.  Nose and Tail width are similar to the OG Brody. The Rail Thickness is similar to the Brody HP. More flip in the nose than the OG Brody, less than the HP.  More Tail rocker than the OG Brody, less than the Brody HP.  Reading this you will see why I said this model sits perfectly in between our 2 tried and true eggs. Stock Sizes: 6’4 x 20 15/16” x 2 7/16”  37L 6’6 x 21” x 2 1/2”  39L 6’8 x 21 1/16” x 2 9/16” 41L 6’10 x 21 1/8” x 2 5/8” 43L 7’0 x 21 3/16” x 2 11/16” 45L 7’2 x 21 1/4” x 2 3/4”  48L  7’4 x 21 5/16” x 2 13/16”  50L 7’6 x 21 3/8” x 2 7/8”  53L 7’8 x 21 7/16” x 2 15/16”  55L 7’10 x 21 1/2” x 3” 58L 8’0 x 21 9/16” x 3 1/16”  60L  Whos this for? All Skill Levels, Preferably by those that love the classic single fin egg feel with a thinner more performance foil.  Fin Setup: 2+1 or Pure Single Single + Side bites: go same inches or 1/2” smaller than length of board in inches.  (Weight / Skill Depending) Ex. 7’0 MM pairs with a 7”- 6.5” center fin / 3 1/4” – 3 1/2” side fins. Pure single: go same inches or 1” more of fin as length of board. (Weight / Skill Depending)  Ex. 7’0 MM pairs with a 7”-8” Fin (Weight / Skill Depending) means lighter weighted rider or more skilled rider go with the lower end of fin depth. Heavier weight or less skilled go on the upper end of fin depth.  Less fin = Loose/Easy to turn.  More fin = More Drive / Hold Wave Size? 1 ft – 4 feet, All style waves from mushy to steep and punchy. Hows this compared to other models in same category? The Magic Matt sits right in between. I think more skilled surfers that ride alternative style boards will really gravitate to this design. This design will allow them to still feel the trim, speed, and glide but have some spice to it as well.  I think women will benefit from the overall thinner foil. This aspect will help them duck dive the board, engage the rail and turn the board, and honestly if you talk to my wife just carrying the board. It's not a big bulky board and that's part of what makes it magic. If you love riding eggs and or have one of our other 2 eggs, I highly recommend you give the Magic Matt a try.
  • Brody HP The Brody HP, a true high performance egg. Capturing the best aspects of mid length designs (Paddle, speed, flow) with high performance shortboard characteristics. (Pivot, Directional change, fin placement) We knew there was a void to fill in our mid length lineup and that was a true hyper egg as what the old school guys would call it.  We went to work, and what we ended up with is a strong back foot driver that has elements of glide and flow much like traditional mid lengths. Key Features:  Slight Rounded Bluntish Nose, giving it some personality but keeping the outline clean and uniform. Thinner foil and foam distribution as compared to the OG Brody Egg. Traditional rocker flow, lowish tail and medium nose with late flip.  This makes for a super back foot driver that still paddles well and won't catch on steeper drops with the flip.  Medium/Low tuck shortboard style rails.  Shortboard style bottom contours with a hard edge in tail which pairs perfectly with your tried and true set of fins.  If you are a thruster guy ride it as so, if you are a quad guy ride it as so.  I would size this board in the 7ft range if you want to maximize paddle and wave catching. I would size it shorter if you want to maximize performance in tight radius turns and/or live in a place with steep tight pockets. Stock Sizes: 6’4 x 20 1/4” x 2 3/4”  38L  6’6 x 20 1/2” x 2 3/4”  40L 6’8 x 20 3/4” x 2 3/4”  42L  6’10 x 21” x 2 3/4”  43.5L 7’0 x 21 1/4” x 2 7/8”  46L  7’2 x 21 1/2” x 2 7/8”  48L  7’4 x 21 5/8” x 2 7/8”  50L  7’6 x 21 3/4” x 2 7/8”  51L  7’8 x 21 7/8” x 2 7/8”  53L  Whos this for? All Skill Levels, Preferably those that come from riding shortboards.      Wave Size? 2 ft – 6 feet, Loves waves with a wall and or defined pocket whether its a point break or beach break. Hows this compared to other models in same category? The Brody HP falls in the top end range of our eggs in terms of wave size and performance. It's a perfect board for aging short boarders or even younger short boarders looking to get into riding mid lengths. It's a great travel board for wide playing fields or tiring arms after a week of riding thinner shortboards. Even weekend warriors that work all week and want to get out and rip on the weekends but need the length and the paddle to compete in crowds.  Customers have ridden this board well above the initial intention for the board in places like Cloud break Fiji and Macaroni's Indo, and said it fit perfect in those waves.
  • Brody Egg The classic egg, the name comes from one of our best buddies Brody Shockley, who at the time wanted something fast and easy to ride to help him be able to get out and catch more waves and surf more days. We tried to take all the elements of the classic egg and give it some modern updates to help separate our egg from the rest. Think classic speed trimmer with modern day foam foils and bottom contours. Key Features: Super clean outline, hard to replicate. Clean curves have always been our brand, they just seem to work. Super flat rocker, made to surf even the smallest mushiest of conditions. Pulled in Pin tail give this board some speed control and range in waves that might not make sense at first for the board but will surprise you. Intentional foam under chest for extra paddle power almost like a fish or gun.  Full soft rails with a tuck, nothing pinched or catchy. Shallow Single / Double concave adds a spicy modern feel to an old school design. Stock Sizes:   6'4 x 20.25 x 2.75  41L 6'6 x 20.5 x 2.75  43L 6'8 x 20.62 x 2.75 45L 6'10 x 20.75 x 2.75  46L 7'0 x 21 x 2.75  47L (Brody Dims) 7'2 x 21.25 x 2.75  49L 7'4 x 21.38 x 2.75  50L 7'6 x 21.5 x 2.75  52L 7'8 x 21.5 x 2.88  55L 7'10 x 21.75 x 2.88 57L 8'0 x 22 x 2.88 59L Fin Setup: 2+1 / Pure Single / Twin + Single Single + Side bites: go same inches or 1/2” smaller than length of board in inches.  (Weight / Skill Depending) Ex. 7’0 Brody pairs with a 7”- 6.5” center fin / 3 1/4” – 3 1/2” side fins. Pure single: go same inches or 1” more of fin as length of board. (Weight / Skill Depending)  Ex. 7’0 Brody pairs with a 7”-8” Fin (Weight / Skill Depending) means lighter weighted rider or more skilled rider go with the lower end of fin depth. Heavier weight or less skilled go on the upper end of fin depth.  Less fin = Loose/Easy to turn.  More fin = More Drive / Hold Whos this for?  All Skill Levels, Beginner to Pro      Wave Size? 1/2 ft – 4 feet, Loves just about any style wave under 4ft. Hows this compared to other models in same category? This board will be the best low end range mid length we offer. More grovel capabilities than the Magic Matt and the Brody HP. Every time someone asks about what mid length they should start out on I recommend this board. It a great board for longboarders coming down in size but still want that flow. It's good surfers that want to work on style and get a different feeling under foot. Good for small days at your local break or take on a surf trip. One of the most versatile easy to ride boards on the market today.
