“Heroes get remembered but legends never die.” Local Legend Todd Drotleff is that guy. Todd, probably has been more around the world than anyone I know. When you travel as much as Todd, you need a board that has a huge range of versatility. That is where the Passport comes in. Todd rode his magic 6’6 at Puerto Escondido, Maldives, West Oz, and the list goes on. What he needed was a board that has a mid length ease and flow, semi gun paddle strength, with familiar shortboard outline and performance characteristics. The board has to out paddle anything, but be nibble and hold in everything. It also needed to be able to grovel in junk if he was skunked. All that being said, the passport checked all the boxes and lasted the test of time.
Key Features: Pretty mellow rocker with a super clean high performance shortboard outline. The outline might look too aggressive for some people but don’t worry because the flat rocker counteracts the aggressive outline. They play off each other. Low entry rocker with flip, Medium Exit rocker. Huge sweet spot in the middle for tons glide and so the board will feel natural to all stances and foot preferences (back footed surfers/ front footed surfers). Additional Foam under chest for semi gun/ mid length paddle power. Medium soft rails with tuck that won’t catch and a thin tail foil for sensitivity, quick direction change and hold. Can be ridden as a thruster, quad, or twin + stabalizer in small surf.

The Passport is a designed paddle power, glide, early entry mid length with shortboard/semi gun characteristics. It sits above our OG Bowie Knife in terms of versatility and wave range/size. Its has grovel ability, it has stepup ability. A great weekend warrior working person board. A great board for aging surfers that want a one board quiver. This is a great addition to the Brother lineup of models simply based on versatility. Knowing you are covered no matter what the ocean offering.
