Mind Expander
This model is a case study. We first shaped this board back in 2018 along with the Omega and Profish, 1 of 3 models we offered that helped build the Brother Brand. What we learned is that everyone that has gotten one has had their mind blown! What we also found as time progressed is that this model isn’t or shouldn’t be the first mid length you ever ride. Meaning most surfers that come to us looking for a tried and true classic mid length should probably try the Brody Egg or Magic Matt first then step on the this. We actually took it off the website for a few years just to create a better on ramp for first time mid length buyers to get the right mid length underfoot before they go down the radical Mind Expander road. Now that time has passed, our brand has grown, people are more educated on what a mid lengths is and what to order, we thought its time to bring it back.
Key Features: Wide point back almost backwards shaped outline. This goes inline with modern day shortboards where the wide point is between your feet and anything extra is taken away for absolute freedom in the carve and cutback department. The bottom is super radical, roll in the nose into a tri-plane concave bottom (not a hull), into a double-v out the tail. The Tri plane tucks up the rails for more sensitive engaged rail to rail transitions. The Single Concave into double -v fits the performance outline just enhances the characteristics of the board. Modern day high performance mid length. Fast and Furious.

Single + Side bites: go same inches or 1/2” smaller than length of board in inches. (Weight / Skill Depending)
Ex. 7’0 M.E pairs with a 7”- 6.5” center fin / 3 1/4” – 3 1/2” side fins.
Pure single: go same inches or 1” more of fin as length of board. (Weight / Skill Depending)
Ex. 7’0 M.E pairs with a 7”-8” Fin
(Weight / Skill Depending) means lighter weighted rider or more skilled rider go with the lower end of fin depth. Heavier weight or less skilled go on the upper end of fin depth. Less fin = Loose/Easy to turn. More fin = More Drive / Hold

Hows this compared to other models in same category?
This board will be more in the upper end range in terms of wave height and performance of all the mid lengths we offer. Tons of performance characteristics that will keep you coming back for more. It’s exciting to ride, never dull or boring. I think this board will be perfect for average to above average surfers that maybe have had other mid lengths in the past and want something new and exciting. Something to blow their mind with what a mid length can really do.
